Johann Christian Bach short biography
The youngest son of the great J.S. Bach, Johann Christian Bach studied with his father. After the death of his father, J.C. Bach took music lessons from his brother, C.P.E. Bach. A few years later, J.C. Bach was appointed organist in Milan. In 1762, J.C. Bach settled in London. J.C. Bach was immediately highly acclaimed by the public and critics in London. Soon J.C. Bach assumed an important position of Music Master to the Queen. J.C. Bach wrote many operas, 90 symphonies and many chamber compositions. J.C. Bach was a teacher of Mozart.
