Alban Berg short biography
Alban Berg belonged to the Second Viennese School formed at the beginning of the XX Century. Other important members were Arnold Schoenberg and Anton Webern. The composition system, first established by Schoenberg, was designed as a continuation of the Wagnerian chromatical construction ideas in music. The traditional tonalities as well as keys were deserted. The dissonances were felt differently and the sense of musical unity has become a unique language. Alban Berg and his School had an enormous influence on the music development of the 20th century.
